I NEED A SINGLE HOUR: Part V - Recalibration

Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. (Matthew 6:26, MSG).
  • Job Requirement: Recalibration (to adjust precisely for a particular function)
  • Job Applicant: Malkia S. White
  • Job Status: Unemployed
  • Work HistoryResume of Malkia S. White
  • Cover Letter: See below
Dear Hiring Manager:

I've not been tied down to a job description for over one (1) month. For your review, I've attached a copy of my resume.

As you can see, I have over fifteen (15) years of experience in marketing, training and development. For over ten (10) years, I've managed daily operations and activities for government, non-profit and corporate offices. I am a certified Paralegal, Notary and I possess a Masters in Business Administration. I am a proficient blogger and a self-proclaimed YouTube sensation. (TEAM JAGUAR Thursday).

Life is challenging because I don't know how I'll make it through one (1) more month of unemployment. I have bills that exceed my unemployment benefits. I have medical expenses that exceed my unemployment benefits. I need to eat. I need operable heat throughout this autumn season. I need to tithe. I need a boyfriend. I need paper to print copies of my resume. I need ink to print the aforementioned. I need enough fuel in my vehicle to travel to the unemployment office and potential offices of employment. I need an impressive interview ensemble. I need you to see my resume, read my resume, call me to schedule an in-person interview, send me an offer letter that exceeds my expectations, and hire me. I need a relaxing, week-long beach vacation before I start this new position. And, I need the new Vaneli boots on sale at my favorite shoe store.

Dear Malkia:

Thank you for your interest in the open position.

I'm offering an opportunity for you to trust that I know what you need before you ask for it in writing. (Matthew 6:8, NIV). Your life is good because each time you enter your closet alone and shut the door closed, I know what you are privately praying and I intend to reward you. (Matthew 6:6, CEV).

Note, you listed some wants. Keep in mind, this new position will offer you the recreational funds to purchase your wants, and prepare you for the love you desire.

Life is abundant because my Son, the One seated at My right hand, making intercession for you, "doesn't change--yesterday, today, tomorrow, he's always totally himself." (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 13:8, MSG).
  • The Jesus you called on when you held the job description of Marketing Trainee/Inside Sales Assistant, Incentive Specialist, Director of Administration, Program Representative II, Executive Assistant/Training Specialist, Paralegal, Office Manager/Legal Assistant, Office Administrator/Marketing Coordinator...is the same.
  • The Jesus you called on last month, lifted the heaviness of depression, helped you choose Life, delivered you and loves you.
  • The Jesus you call on today will "send you what" I have promised; but you must stay in the city (of unemployment) "until you have been clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:49, NIV).
  • The Jesus you call on tomorrow will give you hope!
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? (Luke 12:25, NIV).

I NEED A SINGLE HOUR: Part IV - The Strength To Say It

A real love for others will chase those worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows that we have not really learned to love. (1 John 4:18, CEV).

LORD:

The thought of being exposed makes me afraid.  Life is challenging because something important was stripped away from me and I thought I had the innate strength to prevent deterioration.

I take pride in my (Wonder Woman) capabilities.  I dot my I's and cross my T's. I'm diplomatic and detailed.  I'm organized and efficient.  I'm thoughtful and compassionate.  I'm intelligent and insightful.

There is nothing wrong with my ego.  But there is something wrong with my heart--it's reluctant to accept Your greatest gift.

Life is good because You knew that exposure was 1 of the 3 things I needed. (http://www.fromhelltowin.com/2013/10/i-need-single-hour-part-iii-deliverance_16.html).  Because I was punishing myself through deprivation, You stripped away my heart of stone and gave me a "red-blooded, firm-muscled heart," capable of being touched without scathe.  (Ezekiel 11:19, MSG).

Life is abundant because You saw my readiness to learn about love.  Exposure revealed real love extended to me.  My worries were chased away when I accepted Your greatest gift from others.

I have the strength to say it: I AM LOVED!

In Jesus name...AMEN.

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? (Luke 12:25, NIV).

I NEED A SINGLE HOUR: Part III - Deliverance Now

God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot. God's angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. (Psalm 34:4-7, MSG).

These are the facts (from my perspective):
  1. It's no secret, I share all of my feelings with You.
  2. It's been nearly 2 years and I'm still waiting for my win (http://www.fromhelltowin.com/2011/11/wait-for-win.html).
  3. I'm calling out to You in desperation because I need a way out now!
Dear God:

In order for me to get out of this tight spot, I need 1 of 3 things to happen immediately. Just 1 thing, LORD, so I can say life is good with sincerity! Use Your discretion and give me 1 thing to free me from my anxious fears. (Psalm 34:4, MSG). Thank you...AMEN.

These are the facts (from God's perspective):
  1. You look at Me because you know your help comes from Me. (Psalm 121:1-2, NIV).
  2. I meet you more than halfway because My thoughts and My ways are higher than yours. (Isaiah 55:9, CEV).
  3. I have delivered your soul from death, your eyes from tears, your feet from stumbling, that you may walk before Me in the land of the living. (Psalm 116:8-9, NIV).
  4. I know your life is challenging and you have many troubles, but I will deliver you from them all. (Psalm 34:19, NIV).
  5. My angel sets up a circle of protection around you while you pray. (Psalm 34:7, MSG).
  6. Remember the days of long ago; meditate on all My works and consider what My hands have done. (Psalm 143:5, NIV).
  7. Smile, life is abundant -- I have heard your cry for mercy; I accept your prayer. (Psalm 6:9, NIV).
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? (Luke 12:25, NIV).

I NEED A SINGLE HOUR: Part II - I Have Choices

I.  THE CHALLENGE OF WORRY
     A.  My current condition is challenging
           1.  I don't doubt God's presence; however, my sensory level is too low to feel God.
           2.  I need God's healing, but I'm afraid I'll shatter into tiny pieces at the slightest
                touch.
           3.  My mind is consumed with worry
                a.  What tasks do I need to accomplish?
                b.  When do I need to accomplish my tasks?
                c.  How am I going to accomplish my tasks?
                d.  Who can I trust to help me accomplish my tasks?
                e.  How much time will it take to accomplish my tasks?
                f.  What materials do I need to accomplish my tasks?
                g.  What are the consequences of not accomplishing my tasks?
     B.  My current circumstances are challenging
           1.  I thought God understood that my "Yes" negated becoming involved with
                foolishness.
           2.  I thought I had the skill set to handle stressful situations.
           3.  It's extremely disappointing to learn that some of my Earth Angels are no longer
                members of my cheering squad.
           4.  I didn't think I'd return to this desolate place on the Memory Lane Trail.
           5.  I need a new and improved job with a better salary and better benefits.
           6.  My spouse has been out of work for nearly 3 years.
           7.  I need money to pay my bills: mortgage, rent, daycare, water & sewer, electric
& energy, TV, auto, home & medical insurance, phone & Internet, retailers.
           8.  My children have serious medical issues and we need an affordable health
                insurance plan with full coverage.
           9.  I thought this situation was under my control.

Dear God:

I've got to decide--do I want to work hard at worrying or do I want to live an abundant life?

I've reviewed the list and I choose Life.

Forgive me for thinking that laying comatose was my cure-all. Purify my heart, O God, and renew within me a steadfast spirit. "Do not cast me from Your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." (Psalm 51:10-12, NIV).

LORD, I have a willingness to exalt You over my condition and circumstances! I have a willingness to stay "alive, awake, attentive and alert" to live abundantly. (Patricia R. Allen). I have a willingness to cast all of my anxiety on You because You care for me. (1 Peter 5:7, NIV).

In Jesus name...AMEN.

I NEED A SINGLE HOUR: Part I - Confession

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? (Luke 12:25, NIV).

September 11, 2013

Dear God:

I'm depressed.  I have a strong desire to sleep--to sleep for long periods of time.  There's a heaviness upon me that's paralyzing at times.  I want to keep living and I don't have suicidal thoughts--I just want to lay comatose until this heaviness passes away.

I wake up anxious and worried about personal and professional matters.  I don't like waking up as aforementioned because I had a regular habit of waking up and giving You praise immediately.  If I had my calendar in view, I could probably pinpoint some of the days I began to feel heavy....

What happened to my fervor in wanting to talk with You daily?
What happened to my desire to read Your Word and meditate?

I feel like my energy vaporized.  I woke up and my joy was gone.  I woke up and my laughter was gone.  I woke up and my confidence was gone.  I woke up knowing I needed immediate professional medical care.

As challenged as I feel, I thank You for waking me up.

In Jesus name...AMEN.

VEHICLE OF COMPASSION -- October 2013

This month's Vehicle of Compassion is the definition of p-a-r-t-n-e-r. You may recall that I introduced her to you as my prayer partner in A VEHICLE OF COMPASSION -- Part II (http://www.fromhelltowin.com/2011/04/vehicle-of-compassion-part-ii.html). She is also my community service partner (TEAM JAGUAR co-founder), singing partner and partner in crime.

What you will discover is that she has also established a strong, intimate partnership with the LORD. I don't know this for a fact, but one of her mottos must be "Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." (1 John 4:11, NIV). I admire her ability to give and receive love without hesitation, which is perfectly aligned with her ability to forgive with ease.

In jest, she often says: I've asked the LORD many times why I'm friends with Malkia?! In all seriousness, I'll tell you why she's my friend. She is:
  • trustworthy
  • reliable
  • peaceful
  • kind
  • honest
  • fun
  • awesome.
I'm excited about how her testimony will impact you! I invite you to read about my Angel and friend, Patricia R. Allen (http://www.fromhelltowin.com/p/vehicles-of-compassion.html).

Peace and Love You More...Malkia
