VEHICLE OF COMPASSION -- July 2013

Kia, we are not here for your entertainment! I can't tell you how many times I've heard her say that to me, but she's been saying it for 27 years. There are countless comedic instances that prefaced that statement and I can't help but smile when I think about this month's Vehicle of Compassion.

When her family moved to St. Louis and joined Centennial Christian Church in the eighties, I gained a second set of parents and four siblings. Although we don't have a biological connection, we've shared laughter and secrets, shed tears and fussed, composed lyrics to silly songs, caused mischief, sought each other's advice, and extended love and support to one another like sisters.

Today is my opportunity to let her know how much I admire and appreciate her for being my big sister. She is a dynamic woman and if you share any length of time with her, you'll be captivated by her beautiful smile.

I invite you to read about this month's Vehicle of Compassion--my Angel and sister, Alexis Penelton Dennard (http://www.fromhelltowin.com/p/vehicles-of-compassion.html). I pray that you are encouraged as you read about her faith walk.

Peace & Love You More...Malkia
